Did somebody say road trip to a museum of the funerary business? Yes, please! Currently accepting visitors by appointment only, we were honored to be able to investigate this unique and beautiful museum in Wilmington, Delaware.

The owners of the Delaware Mortuary Museum, Chris and Jessica, were gracious hosts and we captured so many great images that honor the beauty and necessity of the death industry.

We appreciated the reverent way Chris and Jessica present the somber tools used in honoring the dead. The space felt both celebratory and respectful, exactly like a funeral should be.

To date, this is the farthest Obsidian has travel from homebase for an investigation, and it was worth the trip. We would love to go back someday.
