Did somebody say road trip to a museum of the funerary business? Yes, please! Currently accepting visitors by appointment only, we were honored to be able to investigate this unique and beautiful museum in Wilmington, Delaware. 

​The owners of the Delaware Mortuary Museum, Chris and Jessica, were gracious hosts and we captured so many great images that honor the beauty and necessity of the death industry.

​We appreciated the reverent way Chris and Jessica present the somber tools used in honoring the dead. The space felt both celebratory and respectful, exactly like a funeral should be.

​To date, this is the farthest Obsidian has travel from homebase for an investigation, and it was worth the trip. We would love to go back someday
