Old Well Tavern
First Investigation
The Old Well Tavern in Simsbury, Connecticut can trace its roots back to the 1730s. With that much history, we knew an investigation would be a treat!
We first toured the property after having an amazing meal served by an amazing staff … seriously, one of the best burgers we've ever had!

We learned that in 1888, during a blizzard, legend has it that a visitor from out of town, named Seth, passed away. The ground outside was too frozen, so they buried him in the basement to await Spring's thaw. Unfortunately, no relatives came forward with the funds needed to provide Seth a proper burial, so it is believed his body still rests in the ground beneath basement today.

We were honored that one of the co-owners joined us on this investigation and participated in the Estes Method with us. We got some great responses and can't wait to share our evidence soon!

Second Investigation
Our first investigation was a few years ago. Since then the Old Well Tavern was sold to new owners and has undergone some renovations and upgrades. One of the new owners and her daughter joined us on our repeat investigation.
​
Knowing that sometimes renovations stir up paranormal activity, we're happy to have had the opportunity to come back. We got some amazing responses with the spirits being helpful about alerting us to some additional work scheduled for this historic building. During an Estes session, Jillian heard messages about the upcoming construction, without having any prior knowledge of it. It was helpful to the new owners and confirmed the spirits were happy with the changes.

We're so excited for the next chapter of this Tavern's story. If you're in the area, the new burgers on the menu are to die for!
